ATTENTION CLUB LEADERS!!

ABC WORKSHOP

USG will be hosting its second ABC Workshop (Appeals, Budgets, Co-Sponsorship) on Tuesday, October 13th from 12:00pm-2:30pm in the USG Conference Room, 3-270. Presidents and Treasurers are highly encouraged to attend if you have any questions regarding appeal, budget, and co-sponsorship. The Chair of Appeals, Finance, and Clubs and Org. along with the USG Treasurer will be explaining the processes and will take questions at the end of the session. Refreshments will also be served!

ATTENTION: UNREGISTERED CLUBS ***

If you have not registered for your club yet, please do so immediately! Failure to do so within the next TWO WEEKS will result in RESCISSION OF YOUR BUDGET!

BUDGET PROPOSAL DEADLINE ***

For clubs that are submitting a late budget: the deadline is October 30th!!!! If you have any concerns or questions regarding budget, please contact the Chair of Finance, Salma Mohamed at salma.mohamed@usgbaruch.com.

ACCESS TO MASTER CLUB LIST **

Club leaders have been reaching out to me and asking how to gain access to the Master Club List. I said it before but I’ll say it again: You MUST provide an email to me first that exclusively deals with co-sponsorship or collaborations. I will add that email to the list and that email will gain access to the list of clubs and their contact info! If you are interested and have not done so, please provide me with an email at your earliest convenience.

 

OPEN HOUSE

If clubs are interested in tabling for Open House hosted by the Welcome Center, please email the Associate Director of Recruitment, Dajuan Walker at dajuan.walker@baruch.cuny.edu. It will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 11am-1pm in the 1st floor Cafeteria. (Club setup will begin at 10:30am.)

 

HOMECOMING: CREATE A BANNER!

USG will be hosting Baruch’s first homecoming this fall on Thursday, October 22nd during club hours in the plaza! Baruch’s vibrant club life and athletics teams will be featured in a parade fashion. Clubs are encouraged to create and showcase their banners, dressing in a group coordinated theme. The audience will vote on which club has the best homecoming banner. Winner will receive prizes, including a USG monetary co-sponsorship from yours truly, me. For further questions on how to enter, please email Cherry Aung at cherry.aung@usgbaruch.com

 

ADDITIONAL MONETARY RESOURCE: USS FALL 2015 CO-SPONSORSHIPS

University Student Senate (USS) will be reviewing proposals for co-sponsorship of events which will take place during the fall semesters between November 1, 2015 - December 31, 2015. Co-sponsorship proposals will be considered only if the event held provides FREE admission to students enrolled in ANY CUNY college.

Please remember you or your organization is fully responsible for any and all expenses from your event, there is no guarantee USS will approve your funding request proposal.

Proposals must be submitted via the co-sponsorship form before the deadline. Proposals will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served (FCFS) basis. However, approval will be considered based on feasibility, amount of students served across CUNY, impact on student success and experience and the organization(s) experience/ability to execute a well organized event. In addition, please provide all sources of sponsorship you have received for the event you are hosting.

All budgets must be on an excel spreadsheet If you or your organization needs assistance formulating a budget for this event you can consult with your student government, office of student life (activities), or create a Google excel spreadsheet and share (edit mode) the sheet with (Donavan.cuny@gmail.com) no later than October 20, 2015 to provide online assistance.
